New studies from the FDA provide proof that chemicals in sunscreen find their way to the bloodstream. The US Food and Drug Administration conducted a study in which they examined twenty-four healthy people and the effect of sunscreen on their bodies. The twenty-four people rubbed sunscreen over seventy-five percent of their bodies with either spray, lotion, or cream sunscreen. The result of the participants putting on sunscreen every two hours for four times was chemicals in their bloodstream. After taking blood samples, the FDA found high levels of avobenzone, oxybenzone, ecamsule, and octocrylene in the participants’ blood.
