After further research, however, we found that more and more dermatologists and doctors recommend trying a bleach bath on an occasional basis to their patients suffering from eczema. It is a diluted solution: 1 tsp for every gallon of water as recommended by the National Eczema Association below. The bleach kills the bacteria – so you see less breakouts or flare ups, leading to less itchy skin and relief. Of course, an occasional bleach bath is just part of a process of managing eczema. Daily bathing also needs to be gentle and non-irritating.
